Alcohol Policy

In an effort to improve safety, there will be NO DRINKING of ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES while riding ATVs, RUVs, Dirt Bikes or any other motorized vehicle on any property of High Lifter Proving Grounds.  No open container containing alcoholic beverages will be allowed in the possession of a person operating or as a passenger of a motor vehicle.  No person under the age of 21 shall be in possession of alcoholic beverages.

Police officers and sheriff’s deputies are frequently on patrol in campgrounds, parking areas, trails and vendor areas observing for violations of this policy and other reckless and dangerous behavior. Violators will have their open alcoholic beverages poured out. Upon second offense, or in connection with particularly dangerous behavior or IN THE JUDGEMENT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS, the offender(s) will be removed from the park without refund.  Law enforcement officers also enforce applicable laws of the State of Louisiana and Caddo Parish regarding driving under the influence.

This policy does not prohibit the consumption of alcoholic beverages in campsites or when not riding.  It also does not require the inspection of ice chests.  It is simply an effort to improve safety and decrease the potential for accidents and injury.
